The Starlight Papasan Cradle Swing provides soothing swinging variety for your baby. Not only does it swing front to back like a traditional swing, but it also has a gentle side-to-side motion like a cradle swing. This cozy nest-like seat comfortably cradles your baby in soft, multi-textured materials. A sweet mobile overhead has three plush stars that float up and down and rotate. There is also a dome overhead which projects a starlight show above baby onto the canopy that surrounds the seat. The Starlight Papasan Cradle Swing has two music modes and two sound effects. There are 16 songs total: eight daytime songs, eight nighttime soothing songs and two long play sounds. Mom can customize baby's swinging experience by choosing motion only, music only, mobile only or any other combination. There are six soothing speeds which work in swing or cradle mode and a bead bar on the feeding tray. The three-point restraint keeps baby secure and the frame easily folds for storage. Weight capacity is up to 25 lbs. Requires 4 "D" batteries, not included. Measures 36" x 30" x 40".

Baby Must Have!
Strengths: very cute and can work for either gender, calms baby, can run on AC power
Weakness: motor is a little louder than expected

Assembling the swing is fairly straight forward. My husband had little or no problems putting it together. We had originally considered the Fisher Price Nature Swing because we liked the browns, tans, beige neutral look, but then, the downside is that it would eat up batteries and add more costs to us. The Starlight swing is one of the most expensive of the swings offered by Fisher Price, and it has a nice feature of being able to be plugged into an outlet as well as the option to use batteries when an outlet is unavailable. Our newborn seems to really like the music. She calms down even when we're just standing next to the swing with the music turned on. She can also sleep peacefully in the cradle swing in the side to side motion, provided that we put her in it when she is already calm. Hopefully, we will be able to use this for quite some time and that she will enjoy the lights and mobile.

Strengths: The mobile is very pretty and keeps childs attention.
Weakness: The motor is defective!!
The first motor in it went out in two weeks. They sent another motor head and on the day I installed it the motor quit. They are now sending me another one. They must know that they are defective if they are sending them out with no questions asked. Next time it goes out Im just asking for my money back! I would not recomend this product to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
