Summer Infant Sure & Secure™ Custom-Fit Gate SUMR007

Excellent...period.

Strengths: Easy to assemble, mount, price is right.

Weakness: Don't make the drillholes for the anchors as big as Summer suggests. Make them one fraction smaller...whatever that is (I forget).

I had tried other gates like this...ones that were considerably more money and this one is far superior to all of them. I would certainly recommend this product highly.

New model Cheap Quality, Do Not Buy!

Strengths: Was a great product

Weakness: Now with new improved cheap parts, no longer safe.

If you buy this product, make sure the model number does not have an a at the end(07160A). We have three of the old model, but this new model is cheap. The parts and bars are all smaller in diameter and bend and rattle and shake.They no longer fit with the old models. We are returning the 2 that we bought and looking for something else. I will never buy from this greedy company, Summer, again....

Safety gate

Strengths: Fits a large opening, neutral colors, soft mesh instead of metal slats

Weakness: Screws are barely long enough to fit into studs

This gate was great once it was installed. It easily expanded to fit the dimension of my room and looks good. It has nice neutral colors and the mesh fabric to form the gate feels much safer and looks better than a gate with metal slats to form the barrier. This gate was great once it was installed. It easily expanded to fit the dimension of my room and looks good. The only troublesome part was screwing the side anchors into the wall. If there was not a stud behind the drywall it would of been a piece of cake. However, in my locations there was a stud behind the drywall and the supplied screws did not secure very well into the stud, as it did not appear the screws were long enough. They were only about 1/8" longer than the depth of the drywall. However, I just had to use longer wood screws instead of the supplied ones and everything went together.

Wish I would have bought it sooner!

Strengths: The gate was easy to install. The walkthrough gate is easy enough to work that our 6 year old can open it and close it. It looks nice in our living room.

Weakness: The warranty is only a year with a receipt.(Make sure you keep it)Summer does not have replacement parts you have to get an entire setup not just the gate part that opens or the plastic latch.
