Ineffective
I purchased three of these gates for the openings in my kitchen to keep my 4 lb. Maltese contained in that room. Though I loved the idea of a free-standing unit, I guess I didn't fully comprehend that the accordian pleat folding made for an awkward look at smaller sized openings. Success!
Finally, a gate that keeps my dogs confined to the areas that I want them. Low enough to walk over but high enough to keep my dogs from jumping over. This is especially helpful for my male dog who was marking furniture. now that I keep him confined to one room he hasn't been marking!

These gates are awesome! Exactly what I expected and work perfect for our King Charles Spaniel that tries to get out EVERY TIME the door opens! Now I can set them up by the doors and the kids can come in and out without worry that the dog will follow!
