The Combi Transition is the only convertible high chair at HighChairs.com made of light weight polymers instead of wood. It?s also only convertible high chair that looks like it fell out the back of a space ship, circa 2050. The swooping lines and bubbly design of the Transition reflect its point of origin in Japan. This high chair / child desk opts for a much more cartoon-ish and futuristic look than the contemporary European designs offered by Kettler and Svan , or the classically inspired works of Rochelle . The Transition has some serious advantages over those wooden chairs in terms of functions, and arguably comfort, but its plastic construction will not stand the test of time as well as a wood high chair can. You can use the Combi Transition from your child?s infancy, thanks to its 3 position reclining seat and 5-point harness. The passive restraint bar beneath the feeding tray provides additional security by preventing your child from sliding out beneath the tray. Its adjustable feeding tray makes cleanup after feeding time a snap: Just pop off the upper feeding tray and rinse it off or put it in the dishwasher. The dual cupholders can easily accommodate sippy cups, bottle, juice boxes, or food jars. The durable fabric liner on the comfy seat cushion is vinyl coated and also super easy to wipe clean. The ?convertible? aspect of the Combi Transition comes into play when you remove the chair and flip over its lower half.
